iMac COLORS
Thinking about buying Apple's new iMac but can't decide on which of the five colors to choose from? Let Leatrice Eiseman, of the Pantone Color Institute in Carlstadt, New Jersey help. According to Ms. Eiseman, strawberry is a sign of "power and strength", blueberry says "constancy and truth", grape is for those with "passion and magic", tangerine is "radiant and hot" and lime is "natural and pleasant". Ms. Eiseman is the author of "Colors for Your Every Mood." (Source: Computerworld, 2/1/1999)

SCHEDULING VIA THE INTERNET
Jerry Brown Chevrolet in Buford Georgia was one of the first automobile dealerships to allow its customers to schedule service appointments through the dealership's web page and email. The dealership provides the software that its customers load on their PC. After the customer enters the information about their car and the number of miles they expect to drive per year, the software will remind them when it is time to schedule service and provides a link to the dealer's web page. The software was developed by Interval Inc. and will be sold to dealerships through an automotive products marketer.

Las Vegas Internet Partners (LVIP) has developed a software package that will allow a golfer to schedule tee times via the Internet at any participating golf course. LVIP has developed a package that includes the server, terminals and software that golf courses can install to manage scheduling and payments at the pro-shop as well as links them to the nationwide reservation network. It is currently being tested in several golf courses in the Las Vegas area with plans to have 300 to 500 courses online by the end of March 2000. THE SCREEN FRIDGE
Frigidaire and ICL, a British software company, will be showing off its prototype of a refrigerator that contains a PC at a trade show in New Orleans next week. Known as the "Screen Fridge", it literally contains a PC running Windows 95 and has a bar code scanner. Users will be able to create their grocery lists by scanning their food as it is used. The Screen Fridge can print out the grocery list or send it to your grocer via email. Just so you aren't bored while cooking, the Screen Fridge also contains a TV tuner so that you can watch your favorite TV show while working in the kitchen. No word yet on when it will be available at your neighborhood appliance store. (Source: www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2216167,00.html, 2/25/1999)
